Minibus hire: your low-cost alternative

Community Transport Haringey provides a low cost alternative to minibus hire for your group, club or non-profit organisation through our community Group Transport scheme.

Group Transport MinibusesGroup Transport is a financially supported scheme to keep the voluntary organisations, sports clubs, community or faith groups, schools and charities of Haringey on the move.

Our range of 16-seat standard and 14-seat fully wheelchair accessible minibuses can be booked with or without a driver for as little as a few hours or for as long as a few weeks and they can be used to travel anywhere within the UK.

Drive it yourself?

For maximum flexibility and lowest cost to your group, we strongly promote the use of our vehicles with drivers nominated by you.

To meet the eligibility criteria, drivers should have held a full driving licence for over two years, be aged between 21 and 70 and should provide us with details of any penalty points, convictions and any relevant medical conditions.

All drivers wishing to use our vehicles must also hold a valid Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) certificate. Don’t worry if you don’t have one as we offer MiDAS training three times a month at a highly subsidised rate to registered member groups. You can find out more information about minibus driver training here, and more information about your eligibility to self drive one of our minibuses here.

What our stakeholders say ...

Priscilla Wakefield Nursing Care Home

"Haringey Community Transport provides an invaluable, reliable service which enables our residents to get out & about in the local community and further afield.

Many of our residents have mobility issues and need to use a wheelchair outside. Though we do use public transport as well,  using Haringey Community Transport enables us to give a door to door service without which it would be difficult for some of our residents to get out.

We have recently visited the Museum of Childhood, Crews Hill, Alexandra Palace, Clissold Park, Southend and enjoyed a scenic tour of central London taking in the best of the Christmas lights. We also visit a local Day centre for a monthly tea dance".
